ACM’S End of the Year Events

The end of the semester is near, but ACM is not done yet! We have 2 more exciting events between now and the end of April:

– Our next event is on Tuesday, April 18th at 5pm in LOV 353. There is a student presentation by Joshua Kane, who will be giving a presentation on “The code life cycle: The importance of code readability.” Code readability is a topic that is not explicitly taught, and it’s a critical trait to have especially when working in industry. You won’t want to miss this presentation!

– Election season is here! The ACM Officer Elections & Final GBM is Friday, April 21st at LOV 353. The time window for active ACM members to cast their physical ballot is from 4-7pm. During this time, running officers will be giving speeches, and there will be videogames, board games, and free food. This is the perfect opportunity to mingle with ACM members and get to know the running officers before casting your vote. If you are interested in running for an ACM position, you must fill out this form no later than the day before elections:‼️ If you do not fill out the Google Form, you WILL NOT be able to run in the elections.

– At our last GBM, we promised there would be a Rez day this upcoming weekend. This event has been canceled due to weather concerns. The funds that would have gone to this event will instead be used to buy food for our election/game night.

Best of luck with these last few weeks in the semester, and I hope you all can make it to our final events 🙂
